51-foot center cockpit Hinckley Sou’wester, launched in June 2000, has seen four continents and 25,000+ nm at sea, named after Conrad’s Marlow of Youth, Heart of Darkness, Chance, and Lord Jim.

May 2002 Chesapeake Bay to 79th St Boat Basin, NYC–5 days, Paolucci, Middleton and Alter–60 kt squall off Cape May, Alter puking roast chicken on deck, freeze our asses off into NYC.
June 2002 Newport to Bermuda Race–7 days, Middleton, Paolucci, Dad, Hunt, Collmer, 3rd place in Cruising division.
June 2004 Newport to Bermuda Race–7 days, Paolucci, Dad, Hunt, Fink, Vasey, Middleton
